well for this study, i started by just eyedropping the colors from my reference, and focused on getting the placement correct. as you improve, i recommend doing the colors by hand instead.

Yea the older design communicated the "Street Urchin" part of his character but really lacked the "Sea Urchin" that is needed to achieve the double meaning. Plus i dont think i could call myself a Digimon fan if none of my characters had The Goggles :P
